I called the Meade County Sheriff's office after being taken for more than $2000.00 by a Meade County resident. The Sheriff Department's reply was that is a civil matter. It must not concern the local Sheriff's Department to have thieves operating in Meade County. There is no wonder law enforcement is no longer respected...too lazy to do their jobs.
